Home / Pastoral Care at CBC
The individuality of each student is recognised and every member of the community nurtured and encouraged to care for each other so that CBC Fremantle remains as a safe, happy and caring place to belong. At CBC Fremantle Pastoral Care includes a structure where:
  • All staff members are responsible for the total development of each boy (spiritually, emotionally, socially, intellectually and physically)
  • Strong, sound relationships are established at all levels of the College, such that staff, students and their families feel valued and part of a Christian community.
  • Student behaviour is managed in a clear, consistent and just manner so that unacceptable behaviour is corrected and positive behaviour is recognised and affirmed. Responsible self-discipline is always encouraged.
  • Students and staff are able to recognise and fullyappreciate the care that they experience.
At the heart of the College's pastoral care lies the House System. The House system provides a framework for pastoral care and welfare of each individual boy.
Each House comprises six house groups called Mentors, and on entry to the school each boy will usually spend his life at the College under the supervision of his Housemaster and his Mentor teacher, who guides his academic, social, emotional and physical progess.
