Strong performance from CBC juniors

CBC's athletes dominated on the track, showing the value of preparation and hard work.

CBC Fremantle's athletics future is looking bright, with our junior squad achieving third place at yesterday's ACC A Division Athletics Carnival.

Under gorgeous blue skies at HBF Stadium, boys spent the day giving their all, leading the pack with their sportsmanship and skill.

Senior students provided admirable leadership throughout the day, from initiating stretches and warm-ups, to cheering on their mates.

Conor Larranaga-Boyle (Year 10), ran away with the Under 16 400m record, blitzing the field with a time of 51.40 seconds and smashing the previous record of 54.05 seconds.

Showing that it can even happen to the best, Year 12 athletic heroes, Nathaniel Bond-Williams and Lachlan Fox, stumbled in the relay's final hand-over in the last race of the day. Traditionally strong in the relay races, the flying flame-haired running legend crossed the line just behind his competitors to cheers from the crowd.

CBC's team of dedicated athletes finished second in the junior division, third in overall boys, and fifth in the senior boys division.

Representing the College in any pursuit, especially in sport, provides an excellent avenue for students to grow as CBC gentlemen, especially developing a desire to do their best, in everything that they do.
