Hard work pays off for Cross Country

CBC boys achieved fantastic results at the ACC Cross Country Carnival, achieving third place overall in the boys' aggregate division.

Year 12 student, Luke Mertens, earned the title of CBC's fastest cross-country runner, taking less than 14 minutes to blitz the 4km course, coming 27th out of nearly 2,000 runners across the day.

Moss Ridge achieved the College's best race result, finishing eighth out of more than 300 runners from Year 8.

The carnival also provided students with the chance to demonstrate their impressive sportsmanship, as they cheered all 30 CBC runners across the line.

The Cross Country team, coached by Ms Lisa Tognolini and Mr Justin Leech, have now earned themselves a well-deserved rest after many months of early starts.
