Visual Art showcase

The annual Visual Art Exhibition in the Arts Learning Area showcased the best art pieces produced during the year from the studio areas of painting, sculpture, printmaking, drawing and photography, as well as a few wood and metal work pieces from the Design and Technology workshops.

Students in Years 7 through to 12 were involved in the  exhibition, with some outstanding work drawing the attention of the appreciative crowd.

Parent Auxiliary were on hand to assist with refreshments, and Year 11 Art students and Art Prefects were instrumental in the exhibition installation and setting up on the night. Justin Oliveri, Harry O'Neill and Kyle Kennedy, all from Year 11, showed their public speaking talent during the evening, handling the formal side of the evening with ease.  Year 12 student Luke  Merten was presented with the coveted Principal's Award for his large  mixed-media piece, and a number boys received Excellence in Art awards for their commitment and dedication to the Art programme in 2017.
