CBC Fremantle Old Boys' Association

Community Gift

WE WANT TO HELP YOUR CLUB

Community is very important to CBC Fremantle, and our graduates are keen to be able to give back to grassroots local activities that provide so many opportunities for so many people.

CBC Old Boys' Association is offering the chance to apply for one of three donations of $1,000 that can be used towards purchasing items such as uniforms, equipment or essential items for non-profit groups.

WE WANT TO MAKE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE

As graduates of a Catholic school in the Edmund Rice tradition, CBC Old Boys have embraced the four guiding Touchstones of the Edmund Rice Education Australia (EREA) charter: Liberating Education, Gospel Spirituality, Inclusive Community and Justice and Solidarity. The Touchstones perpetuate the legacy of Blessed Edmund Rice, who devoted his life to educating the poor and marginalised, and challenge our students to build a better world for all.

As part of this ongoing commitment, the CBC Old Boys currently fund an annual bursary for a student in need, and now seek to further develop positive relationships at a community level, assisting others who are also working towards a better world.

WE WANT TO MAKE IT EASY

Any CBC Old Boy can apply for a Community Gift on behalf of a non-profit group but does not have to be directly involved with the group. Certain information will be required to support the application; more details are provided during the application process.

First in, best dressed! However, the application will also be judged on the merit of the group's activities. The decision will be made at the discretion of the Old Boys' Community Gift committee and unsuccessful applicants are welcome to apply the following year.

The Old Boys' Association will transfer $1,000 into the successful group's bank account. The items will need to be purchased within three months and will require proof of purchase to ensure transparent accountability.

Purchasing several items of equipment to equal the Gift value is acceptable.

Applications can only be registered online. Supporting material is required for custom items, for example uniforms or branded equipment.

Closing date is Wednesday 14 June 2017 at 3pm and successful applicants will be notified on Friday 30 June 2017.
