Alumni Recognition Awards Nomination

Please read the information below before submitting a nomination.

Nominee Eligibility

To be eligible for the Community Award, the nominee must:

  • have made significant contributions to the betterment of society through humanitarian and charitable endeavours;
  • be distinguished by the five values of a CBC gentleman; and
  • have demonstrated high standards of personal character and integrity.

To be eligible for the Leadership Award, the nominee must:

  • have achieved recognised success in his professional field and/or demonstrated leadership abilities;
  • be distinguished by the five values of a CBC gentleman; and
  • have demonstrated high standards of personal character and integrity.

To be eligible for the Rising Star Award, the nominee must:

  • have demonstrated characteristics that indicate future success and significant contributions in their field (professional, community, cultural, sporting or leadership);
  • be distinguished by the five values of a CBC gentlemen; and
  • have demonstrated high standards of personal character and integrity.

To be eligible for the Making a Difference Staff Award, the nominee must be a past or present member of CBC staff.

Nomination Criteria

When completing the nomination form, you will be asked to provide a written statement which, in 250 words of less, should address the following:

Community

  • How has the Nominee contributed to the betterment of the community?
  • In what ways have the Nominee's achievements been extraordinary?
  • How has the Nominee demonstrated high standards of personal character and integrity?

Leadership

  • How has the Nominee demonstrated leadership in their chosen field of endeavour?
  • How has the Nominee demonstrated outstanding professional and/or community involvement likely to be an inspiration to the next generation?
  • How has the Nominee demonstrated high standards of personal character and integrity?

Rising Star

  • How has the Nominee made a significant impact in their field?
  • How has the Nominee performed service which is innovative or beneficial?
  • How has the Nominee demonstrated high standards of personal character and integrity?

Making a Difference Staff Award

The award is presented to a current or past member of CBC staff who exemplifies the spirit of an Edmund Rice person, which is suggested by and not limited to the following criteria:

  • fosters an atmosphere of acceptance, compassion and goodwill,
  • ignites the flame of the Holy Spirit in others,
  • displays exceptional integrity and selflessness,
  • goes above and beyond in their work in order to help others and demonstrates outstanding service to the community,
  • continually seeks to be a better person and inspires others to do the same,
  • contributes to excellence in pastoral care for the CBC community and is tireless in the pursuit of a safe and equitable environment at the College,
  • contributes to excellence in education in the CBC journey,
  • is an exceptional role model and an inspiration to the College, and
  • helps students to develop the attributes of a CBC gentlemen.
